About Us

Shades of Green Pub and Restaurant is owned by Patrick Cormican originally from Aughrim, Ballinasaloe, County Galway. Pat's pub experience began in his youth back in Dublin City. In 1969 he decided to pursue his dream and move to New York, where he started out as a bartender. After many years, this determined and affable Irishman moved on to open as he says himself, "The" Shades of Green. He's a dab hand at making a Hot Toddy or an Irish Coffee, and his special Whiskey Sours could tell a tale or two! Lucky for him, his skills run in the family — Pat's own son John Patrick has been helping out since he was 8 years of age.

The menu at Shades of Green Pub and Restaurant is suitable to many tastes. You'll definitely hit lotto if you order the Dublin Style Fish and Chips, the Shepherd's Pie, or one of our 8-Ounce Burgers. (Leon in the kitchen has it all down to a T.) Take Out is also available.

The atmosphere at the bar and in the dining room is warm and friendly, you're made to feel right at home whether you stop for a meal or just a drink. There's a special feeling if you're a regular; you want to bring your friends and family when they're in town. And if they need a place to stay, try our guest house accommodation.

Shades of Green Pub and Restaurant is open seven days a week, 11 a.m. through 4 a.m. The kitchen is open Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, from 11:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
