In the city, it is quite difficult to find a place to go (especially on the weekends) to have a quiet drink and catch up with friends. This is that place-- where the bartenders are friendly, the drinks are super reasonable, and you can always get a seat. If only there were more places like it! Two thumbs up for sure. This is one of my favorite spots in NYC. Definitely worth checking out!

Shades of Green is a normal Irish pub with good food. Great quality Guinness and bartenders that know how to pour it! I go back to this place every year when I am in NYC. See you guys next year!

If you like, you can come to this neighborhood bar with a group or sit alone at the bar, or in a booth, with a cold draft and a newspaper. The honest to goodness Irish waitress will take your order for a some real and excellent Fish and Chips, Shepherds Pie, or Corned Beef and Cabbage.
